Returns & Refunds Policy

  1. Introduction

This Returns & Refunds Policy explains how you can return products purchased from Ink Ease Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) via our online store www.inkease.co.uk.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

  1. Eligibility for Returns

Because we sell cosmetic/skin products (such as tattoo numbing creams and aftercare creams), we must follow strict hygiene and safety standards.

You can return products to us if:

  1. They are unopened and unused, in their original packaging, and
  2. You contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Products that have been opened, used, or unsealed (for hygiene and safety reasons).
  • Products not in their original packaging or missing parts.
  • Products returned outside the specified return window.

If a product is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, different rules apply – see section 3.

  1. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a product that is:

  • Faulty or defective,
  • Damaged in transit, or
  • Not what you ordered,

Please contact us as soon as possible and no later than 30 days from delivery at info@inkease.co.uk including:

  • Your order number,
  • Details of the issue, and
  • Photos of the product, packaging, and any damage (if applicable).

Once we have verified the issue, we will offer one of the following, depending on the circumstances:

  • A replacement of the same item,
  • An exchange for another product of equal value (if available), or
  • A full refund, including standard delivery costs where required by law.

We may ask you to return the product to us for inspection. In cases of confirmed fault or our error, we will usually cover reasonable return postage costs (see section 6).

  1. Change of Mind / Cooling-Off

If you change your mind about your purchase, you may have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days.

However, this right does not usually apply to:

  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they have been unsealed after delivery.

This means:

  • You may return sealed, unopened creams within the allowed period (see section 2).
  • You cannot return items which are opened or used, unless they are faulty or not as described.
  1. How to Request a Return

To request a return, please:

  1. Email us at info@inkease.co.uk or use www.inkease.co.uk/contact with:
    • Your full name
    • Order number
    • Items you want to return
    • Reason for return
    • Photos (if damaged/faulty)
  2. Wait for confirmation. We will provide:
    • A Return Authorisation (if applicable), and
    • The return address and instructions.

Please do not send items back without contacting us first, as this may delay processing, and we may be unable to match the return to your order.

  1. Return Shipping

Unless the product is faulty, damaged, or sent in error, you are responsible for:

  • The cost of returning the item(s) to us, and
  • Ensuring the items are packaged securely to prevent damage in transit.

We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service and keeping proof of postage. We are not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit.

If the item is confirmed as faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we will usually:

  • Reimburse reasonable return postage costs (subject to evidence/receipt), or
  • Provide a pre-paid return label, where available.
  1. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you to confirm:

  • That we have received the returned item, and
  • Whether your refund has been approved or rejected.

If approved, we will:

  • Process your refund to your original payment method.

Refunds will be made for:

  • The product price, and
  • Where required by law, the original standard delivery charge (but not any upgraded/express delivery costs).

We do not refund:

  • Return shipping costs, except where the product is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, and
  • Any customs duties, taxes, or fees charged by your local authorities.
  1. Exchanges

Exchanges are subject to stock availability.

If you request an exchange:

  1. We may process it by:
    • Sending a replacement item once your return is received and approved, or
    • Asking you to place a new order and refund the original item according to this policy.

We will explain the process when you contact us.

  1. Non-Returnable Items

For safety, legal and hygiene reasons, we generally cannot accept returns on:

  • Opened or used creams, gels, or ointments
  • Products not stored as recommended (e.g. exposed to extreme heat, damaged packaging)
  • Products past their expiry date
  • Items clearly marked as non-returnable or final sale at checkout

This does not affect your rights if a product is faulty or not as described.

  1. Allergic Reactions & Skin Sensitivities

Our products are intended for external use only. Ingredients are listed on the packaging and/or product page. It is your responsibility to:

  • Check ingredients for potential allergens, and
  • Perform a patch test as instructed before full use.

We cannot accept returns or offer refunds for products used contrary to instructions, or for individual allergic reactions/sensitivities, except where required by law. If you experience a serious reaction, seek medical advice immediately.

Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy is intended to exclude or limit any legal rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.
